Privacy Policy
How OptAlgo handles your information.
Last updated: May 10, 2026
This page is a practical, public-facing privacy policy for OptAlgo's website, pilot requests, academic access requests, and future client portal workflows. It should be reviewed by legal counsel before relying on it as final legal advice.
Who operates this website?
OptAlgo operates this website and the related pilot, academic access, and contact workflows. Questions about this policy can be sent through the contact form on the website or by email at contact@optalgo.ca.
What information do we collect?
We collect information you choose to provide, such as your name, organization, email address, role, planning problem, pilot goals, academic affiliation, research topic, and any message or files you send to us.
If a pilot or client workspace is created, we may also receive operational materials needed to evaluate scheduling or routing scenarios, such as sample orders, jobs, machines, resources, vehicles, depots, service areas, time windows, planning rules, constraints, or historical planning outputs.
How do we use the information?
We use information to respond to inquiries, evaluate pilot fit, prepare a pilot scope, provide academic access when approved, operate secure workspaces, produce planning reports, improve website reliability, and maintain business records.
Do we use cookies or analytics?
The first version of this website is designed to work without invasive tracking. If analytics, cookies, or advertising pixels are added later, OptAlgo will update this policy and, where required, provide appropriate notice or consent controls.
How do we treat pilot and operational data?
Pilot and operational data is handled as confidential project material. We use it only for the agreed evaluation, pilot, or service purpose. Academic access does not include client pilot data, production systems, or confidential operational data unless a separate written agreement explicitly allows it.
Do we share information?
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information with service providers that help us host the website, process communications, manage secure workspaces, store files, or deliver agreed services. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the security and integrity of OptAlgo, its clients, and its users.
How long do we keep information?
We keep contact and inquiry information for as long as needed to respond, manage follow-up, and maintain reasonable business records. Pilot and workspace data is retained according to the applicable agreement or project terms. You may request deletion, subject to legal, security, backup, or contractual requirements.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate for an early-stage professional software and pilot workflow. No internet service can guarantee perfect security, so sensitive data should be shared only through approved channels and under appropriate confidentiality terms.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct, update, or delete personal information you provided. You may also ask us to stop contacting you. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.
International processing
OptAlgo may use cloud services or professional tools that process information in Canada, the United States, Europe, or other jurisdictions where service providers operate. We aim to use reputable providers and appropriate safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as OptAlgo evolves, especially when the client portal, analytics, or pilot workspace features expand. The latest version will be posted on this page.
